Active Armed Offender Planning and Response Training
Prepare your people for scenarios that demand immediate, decisive action. Sensitive, evidence-based training delivered at your workplace.
No organisation expects to face an active armed offender. Yet incidents in Australia and around the world demonstrate that violence can occur in any workplace — offices, retail centres, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and public spaces.
While the probability remains low, the potential consequences are catastrophic. Research from actual incidents demonstrates that prior training improves survival rates. People who have considered their options in advance act more quickly and effectively, reducing the freeze response that unexpected threat often triggers.
Messana Group delivers specialist active armed offender training that empowers without fear-mongering. We prepare your people for scenarios we all hope never occur — with sensitivity, professionalism, and evidence-based methodology.
What Your Wardens Will Learn
- Recognise early warning indicators of potential threats
- Apply the Run, Hide, Fight decision framework under pressure
- Execute rapid evacuation when escape is possible
- Implement effective shelter and concealment techniques
- Communicate during active incidents using established protocols
- Understand and cooperate with police response procedures
- Support colleagues during and after high-stress incidents
- Integrate response protocols into your emergency management framework
The Run, Hide, Fight Framework
Run
If escape is possible, evacuate immediately. Do not wait for others or collect belongings. Help others escape if you can.
Hide
If escape is not possible, find a secure hiding place. Lock and barricade doors. Turn off lights and silence phones.
Fight
As an absolute last resort, when your life is in immediate danger and escape and hiding are not possible, fight with commitment.
